Dance and children are my passion in life. I am extremely blessed to love what I do and do what I love. My students are my 2^nd family who has filled my heart with so much love. I have been dancing since the age of 4 where I trained with Barb Raemakers in Columbus, NE. After graduating high school I pursued my dance passion by attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where I graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor’s of Fine & Performing Arts Degree in Dance. After college I held many teaching positions in and around the Lincoln area including being an instructor at UNL for modern dance. While in Lincoln I choreographed many musicals at local high schools and for the Tada Theatre. Following a few of my dreams I pursued my passion in Disneyworld and New York City. In 2003 I returned to my hometown of Columbus, NE and have been the owner/instructor at Steps Dance Academy in Central City, NE and teaching at Barb’s School of Dance & Desiree’s Dancers for the last 15 years.
